		<description>It&#039;s really scary as a small store to &quot;give away&quot; that margin, but I think we&#039;re at a tipping point with online and mass market retailers. It&#039;s been a rather mysterious issue for me as a relative newcomer to the industry with little to go on. The ABA is sooo cautious about discussing pricing/discounting for fear of litigation, but i don&#039;t think that not addressing it at all is the solution. 

Is there anyone out there who has tried the &quot;loss leader&quot; (or as my husband prefers to call it: &quot;the break-even leader&quot;) approach and has data?</description>
