About
Everything I write about here is an attempt to answer the question: “How can social media and online marketing help the independent bookseller to build their business and sell more books?”
This blog is an extension of a workshop given at the 2008 New England Independent Booksellers Association trade show called “Do I Really Need a Blog? Social Media 101 for Independent Bookstores”. While that workshop was a general introduction to the topic, this is a conversation that should be ongoing. I hope to host that conversation here at the blog.
About Ann:
Ann Kingman been a sales rep for Random House for more than 20 years, and works with independent bookstores every day. For the past year, much of her spare time has been devoted to Books on the Nightstand, a blog and podcast about books and reading that Ann creates with her colleague Michael Kindness. Ann’s experiences with Books on the Nightstand, and the things she’s learned along the way, have shown her what can be possible with some time and understanding of the online tools available to all.
disclaimer: this blog is not affiliated in any way with Random House, and all opinions posted here are my own, not those of my employers.
